The location offered was great close to public transport as well as 3 metro stations, sagrada familia and a good number of great restaurants. Again, the hotel was set within walking distance of fantastical Gaudi-designed apartments. The room was neat and updated and had a lovely view.

The hotel had a great and fantastic position, in Old Town. The rooms were extremely spacious and with a view. The breakfast was good hot and tasty, had variety of options and the food was reasonably priced.

Clean, well located hotel, only a few blocks from Sagrada Familia. Everything I expected from a city hotel, and friendly staff. It's a bit of a walk to the main strip (Ramblas) but there are Metro stations a couple of blocks away. The cafes and shops near this hotel are a lot less touristy than other areas so cheaper!

Breakfast is quite expensive, we avoided it and got coffee and pastries from a nearby cafe. There's no tea making facilities in the rooms but cafes v close and i think there is a kitchen next to reception if you're desperate! Beds were a little hard, and you should specify whether you want a twin or a double. Quite a small room but you're in Barcelona - you're not going to want to spend much time in the hotel!!

hotel's location is excellent, close to the main attractions. Breakfast is hearty, rooms are clean. Welcoming, responsive staff, always prompt and help.

The towels were clean, but they were old. The bathroom smelled like sewerage.

The hotel was well situated, only a 5 min walk from the Monumental underground station, and not much further to the Sagrada Familia. Warm and welcoming staff, who were very helpful in many ways, a problem we had en route was solved, very quickly and easily, by email just a few hours before arrival. Nicely presented hotel, very comfortable rooms. We booked a double room, which was fantastic, the room had a great layout, and a fabulous bathroom, the decor and cleanliness were superb. They also had a luggage storage facillity, which is most convenient if you have a late flight / departure. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, have stayed in higher rated hotels, and have been left underwhelmed, something that the Hotel Aranea has certainly not done, especially for the price!!! Would certainly stay there again on our next visit to Barcelona.

The stuff was very helpfull.the room was very clean and they were changing towels every day! Quiet area!

The noise due to thin walls,especially in the morning.

The beds are splitting up, very uncomfortable.

The breakfast choices and quality seemed to decline from the weekend to the mid-week days. We didn;t bring a laptop, and there were no computers avialabel to guests without laptops.\limited choice of tv stations |(no access to international cable tv and news

good location aprox. 10 minutes walking to metro station L2 Monumental. Directly in front of the hotel caffeterias and a supermarket, english speaking stuff, always cleane room, good price

noisy location, all rooms facing the street - but nothing abnormal, overpriced breakfasts - 11€ per person.

Great value for a major city. Our room was small and simple but adequate for storing luggage and moving around the room. The bathroom was very nice with a large tub. Lobby, hallways and our room were kept clean and tidy. Pleasant and helpful staff. Would recommend to family or friends.

The beds are hard and the pillows flat. The closest metro is 4 blocks from the hotel which may be a problem for people who cannot walk far distances.

Breakfast staff need to be more friendly to overseas travellers as it is a service industry. This especially applies to non speaking Spanish travellers
